ABB factory project - leading the trend in automation, providing energy solutions

Recently, the second factory of ABB group (Switzerland) has been started built with a capital of 30 million US dollars.

ABB factory in Tien Son industrial park, Bac Ninh province, is expected to produce electrical equipment, medium and high voltage electrical systems. 80% of ABB's products will be exported, the rest will be uses dometically. According to Gary Marley(General Director of ABB), with this new facility, ABB considered this as the foundation for establishing a long term presence of the group in Vietnam. If the market and business invironment in Vietnam still maintain in the direction that ABB expects, ABB will continue expand further. Mr Gary Marley said that one of the reason why ABB continues to invest in building the second factory is because they want to use a bundant local human resources to creat products with competitive prices while ensuring the quality. ABB has been operating in Vietnam in 1993. Currently, ABB group has a factory in Hanoi with over 500 employees.
